【What is the “Dietary Education” that Makoto Shichida proposes?】Our daily intake of food actually constructs our body and cultivates our mind and brain. Through two serious illnesses of my own and losing one of my sons at a very young age, I have started to treat “Health” and “Curing Diseases” as additional major research themes as well as my original search for the ultimate early childhood educational method. My conclusion, “Blood in good condition and healthful meals that create it are indispensable for sustainable health” later became known as the “Dietary Education” and it became one of the pillars of the Shichida Method of Education. Since then I have been educating not only children but also the whole families with the idea.

Children’s eating habits will immensely influence their mind and body, personality, and how smart they are. The same can be said to adults also. The eating habit centering on grains and vegetables with as minimum amount of artificial ingredients as possible will create sound health for everyone.

【What is most needed for the coming times】
I am a mother of three children. As I have been studying dietetics, I have become painfully aware of the importance of dietary education in raising children.
In recent years, we have been witnessing the abnormalities in children beyond belief. I am certain that there are disturbances in their eating habits behind the scenes. There is a Western proverb “You are what you eat.” That is exactly right. Your mind and body are made of what you eat.
Raising children should be fun: It is very important to correct the eating habits and the living environment in order to raise children with healthy mind and body that are far from sickness and also for yourself to be in good health. We at Shichida Life Co., Ltd. feel that it is our mission to support mothers everywhere who are raising children through our dietary education. We offer dietary advice, hold “Easy Dietetics Lectures,” and sell organic food and supplements, etc.
We are working on this issue without stopping for the hopes of children who have unlimited potentials to grow healthfully and believing that this is the most needed topic for this twentieth century.

We are gathering information under the mottos of “Safety” and “Peace of Mind” throughout Japan as well as overseas. We develop and offer our own products when we cannot find products that do not meet our standards.

Because we like to think together with our customers about the safety of food, clothing, and shelter, we have established the membership system of “Shichida Life” members association. With the services such as planning and executing of members exclusive campaigns, publishing the monthly newsletter, “The Life Information,” and telephone consulting for the customers of food education and child rearing needs, we offer support for our customers to secure their healthful life as much as possible.
■ Lectures and Round-Table Discussions
We offer lectures associated with food education throughout Japan. We also offer round-table discussions in order to listen to and answer to our customers needs directly. Shichida Life president, Mayumi Shichida will come to your place personally.
